In 1962 I completed my post-graduate (PhD) program at the University of Bucharest, Romania.  It was in 1968 when I began my professional practice, first as an independent Art Dealer, and subsequently (by osmosis) as Independent Consultant and Valuator of objets d'Art, Antiques, and other important Collectibles.

In 1975 I complied with the requirements for professional membership with the Appraisers Association of America. Thereafter, in 1980, having successfully passed all of the mandatory professional examinations prescribed by the International Board of Examiners of American Society of Appraisers, I earned the professional designation of Accredited Senior Appraiser (ASA). I maintained my affiliations with these societies until 2008.

Being an early developer, supporter, and long-time practitioner of the state-of-the-art valuation methodology otherwise referred to as "Econometrics of Art," I have come to realize that the high regard extended to my professional reputation is not serendipitous. Rather, it is the result of my many years of continuing effort to achieve a higher level of competency, and thus provide my clients with the most adequate and efficient service.

I am not a ‘dealer’ or ‘auctioneer’, nor am I otherwise commercially involved "in the market."  I am strictly an objective "observer of the market," which ensures that my clients benefit from the most informed – yet unbiased – counsel and valuation services.
